• There is a nice park located two blocks far from the house.
• Four blocks away is the park called Barrancas de Belgrano (10 hectars/25 acres), where every Sunday the Milonga called "La Glorieta" takes place.
• And about ten blocks from the house there is the park named "3 de Febrero" (50 hectars/125 acres). A magnificent public spot for aerobic activities and physical fitness.
Major Streets:
• Three blocks away lies Libertador Avenue, the most important link on the north side of the city, that goes through Belgrano from South to North.
• Four blocks away lies Cabildo Avenue, the main street in Belgrano. It's a very important commercial center and is parallel to Libertador.
• Twenty meters away lies Monroe Avenue, which goes through Belgrano from East to West.
• Three blocks away, you will find Congreso Avenue, parallel to Monroe Avenue.
Transportation:
• TRAINS: 4 blocks away you have the Belgrano "C" station, belonging to the "M" line Railway, which allows you to go to Retiro Station in downtown Buenos Aires in about 8 minutes and to Tigre Station, on the Parana delta, in about 15 minutes. • SUBWAY (SUBTE): six blocks away you have the Congreso de Tucuman station belonging to the "D" line. It will take you to Catedral Station which is in downtown Buenos Aires in about 15 minutes. • BUSES: A great number of buses run through the main avenues in the district, allowing you to get to almost any place in the city. • TAXIS AND CARS FOR HIRE: In addition to taxies there are private car services (called Remis) that will get you to all the usual places of tango dancing quickly and inexpensively.
Food and other amenities:
• Two blocks away there is a very large supermarket (that takes up a whole block) which offers a vast variety of goods.
• One block away there is a convenience store, for small everyday stuff.
• One block away there are three restaurants, they charge reasonable prices and they offer good quality food. One serves Argentine food, the other Arab food and the third one French food.
• Four blocks away is Cabildo Avenue. It has a huge selection of stores and restaurants with everything that Buenos Aires has to offer.
Milongas and Tango Activities
• Four blocks away the Milonga "La Glorieta" takes place every Sunday from 7.30 to 11PM. Admission is free.
• Ten blocks away, every Saturday from 11PM to 4 AM, the outdoor milonga "La calesita" takes place .
• Some 15 blocks away, from 11PM to 4 AM, the milonga "Sunderland" takes place.
• The rest of the milongas and tango classes are scattered all about Buenos Aires, only minutes away from the Tango Guests House.
